Scott Reid 0:00
Welcome to the E commerce optimizer show. In today’s episode, we have a great guest. His name is Siddharth Sinha, and Siddharth is the co founder and CEO of Dresma. Siddharth and his team have developed an incredible platform that helps ecommerce brands streamline the process of creating high quality product content using AI, and we dive into how drasma is transforming the way companies generate everything from product photos to a plus listings, or actually, they’re probably a plus plus listings, reducing the time from weeks to days, and saving businesses 1000s of dollars in the process. It’s just incredible what this platform does. Quite frankly, I was 110% blown away. So whether you’re an e commerce Store owner or just curious about about the intersection of AI and digital marketing and how everything is coming together and changing so so quickly, this episode is definitely for you. It’s packed with insights. So let’s, let’s jump into it. This episode is sponsored by E commerce optimizers. They’re at dressma.com D, R, E, S, M, a.com, sidrath, welcome to the show.

Siddharth Sinha 2:06
It’s got great to be here. Yeah. So

Scott Reid 2:08
we were just speaking and getting to know each other ahead of the of this recording, and I gotta say, I was blown away by what you have created at dresma. It’s really something else. Why don’t you? Why don’t you tell us about it? Yes,

Siddharth Sinha 2:24
we started resmaa About four years ago with the idea of helping sellers create all the content that they need to succeed online. So we do everything from listing images that you need for your website or for Amazon. From there, we can do, you know, text, text, font, then titles, descriptions, as well as lifestyle imagery, creative images, model images, all of that generated through AI and available to you, for you to post onto your website, as well as the marketplaces. Yeah, it’s

Scott Reid 2:56
really something else. And what, what are the, what are the types of categories that you typically focus on in terms of of what your technology, the types of companies that your technology can assist.

Siddharth Sinha 3:09
So the product verticals are the most popular passion, fashion accessories, home decor, jewelry, furniture, all of these see a lot of benefit from the platform that’s that’s typically the kind of audience, well, the kind of products that are getting listed through our platform.

Scott Reid 3:26
Yeah, it’s really interesting. I have to, I don’t. I just want to cut to the chase here and talk about the massive savings and time and money that you deliver to your customers and to your clients and to your partners. It is just, it blew me away, quite frankly, be the economies of scale or the efficiencies that are captured through your technology. I mean, why don’t we just talk about that? I mean, you gave me two different kind of if we look at those two buckets of time. When we start out at time, you said one that you reduce the average time to list from eight weeks down to two days. So eight weeks to two days. And so I was like, when are you going to get to instantaneous? We were joking about that because, because two days is about as fast as it can get if you’re if you’re used to eight weeks. And the other one, when we talk about money, it was saving this this customer from 100 grand to 15k which is just it’s just unbelievable that can be so transformative for a company, especially with compressed profit margins these days from the E commerce brands are just getting whacked from all different directions, and you’re really empowering them and providing them with the with the ability to take their company back, at least from a profitability standpoint and a cash flow.

Siddharth Sinha 4:51
So I mean, a couple of things that they’re very mindful of. And when we started offering this journey is one, we really wanted to cut the the time to revenue. So. Our customers. So really, the the I mean, you should be able to sell product as soon as you have it available, rather than go through this journey of, you know, shipping your product to photo studios, getting graphic designers to create content for it, and which coordinating between two or three different agencies to be able to pull all of that content together. So for cost, it’s the one point solution. You come to us, get everything done for you, and in a fraction of the time that that it takes, that’s, that’s the first part. The second part of it is that given the given the nature of our of our platform, and the ability to be able to generate different kinds of content and be able to generate for different platforms, your storefront, your marketplace, social media or that can be generated on the platform. It really gives you the ability to be able to be a multi channel seller as well. And given that the cost savings that we bring in place, you can now focus on, you know, getting your business to be multi channel, rather than focusing all your or spending all your dollars on getting Amazon content, you can have content for your website, for walmart.com, for all your social media content as well, to really, it diversifies your business role. I mean, not just gives you a cost saving, but really expands the business and the opportunity that’s out there, and

Scott Reid 6:15
you’re de risking as well at the same time, because if you’re reducing your reliance on Amazon, and you’re able to go out to different channels, that’s a massive de risk, especially, you know, with what, what goes on with Amazon and some of these other platforms in terms of algorithm changes and whatnot. So I also found, you know, quite interesting, how you you what the the genesis of the company with your co founders. Can you talk about that? Because I think that that really adds so much to to the product offering. Is your is your kind of like grassroots understanding of of the challenges that E commerce sellers and E commerce brands are faced with. Can you talk about that, about that photography experience? Sure,

Siddharth Sinha 7:03
my two co founders, Abhishek and Nish, used to actually run their own code of studios, working with our additional brands. They also used to do a lot of the image processing that happens for large studios and for large retailers, essentially handling all the images that come from off the studio floors. So they really understand the pain that brands go through to get the the professional quality content, the studio quality content that that is required to succeed online. Thus they understand what sells. So they understand what kind of imagery converts, you know, browsers into A into buyers, all of that, all of that knowledge, has been embedded into into our offering. So we’ve really designed the product to be able to generate the quality of outcomes that are required, but we’re also very mindful of the constraints that with that our customers have in terms of time, in terms of resources. So we really unlike a lot of the other solutions out there, which are tools factors need to be able to spend time and effort to create the content we take on, all of that effort on our end. So essentially, the platform is an end to end solution where we deliver ready to use content, rather than expect shredder to spend, you know, multiple hours to create a single piece of content. Excellent.

Scott Reid 8:25
So I think it’s probably a good idea to go in and take a look, and you’re going to give us some examples. Isn’t that correct?

Siddharth Sinha 8:32
Yeah, so I was just, let me just share my screen, and I’ll just walk through some of the do’s and tones of product imagery on marketplaces. And a lot of this will be applicable to storefronts as well. But it’s important to to understand, one the importance of good imagery and to sort of the ease with Bitcoin of this can be done on our platform.

Scott Reid 8:59
I’m just interrupting the podcast because, as you know, this is an this is an audio only podcast. I thought I was going to be able to make an exception on this one and create a video one, but it’s just turning into being too much of a, honestly a nightmare, to have one episode with video. So what I’m going to do is have the video, this demo, this quick demo that said Earth walks through is going to be on our website. And so what you’re going to want to do, if you want to watch the video portion of this, just go on over to our website at ecommerce optimizers.com click on the podcast link at the top and then scroll down to this will be episode number 28 and the video will be there. Alternatively, I would also book a demo at their site@dressma.com, because this platform is just insane, what it can do and the and the cost savings that it can deliver to you. So that’s all I’m going to say on this. Just wanted to let you know where you can see the demo. And now back to the episode.

Siddharth Sinha 9:59
So here there are some. Still. This is a snapshot of an Amazon search result page. So this is how search results are shown. And I’ve got how the brand names and the and the texts of the of the search results. These are just the images. So here, if you look at the images. Most image on each of these rows, these are just product images standing by themselves, right? It doesn’t doesn’t give you any context about the product. Doesn’t give you any idea of the size, of how anyone would use this product. So if I, if I’m a browser, looking at these search results, I really don’t know by looking at just the image, however, how to use this product, or any idea about the size and scale of it. However, if you look at the other images on the same row, the images do convey the use of the size. It gives the the customer an idea of how the product would actually fit into their space on how they can utilize the product. So if you give you know browser these options they are, they are most likely to gravitate towards a an image that actually shows them. It shows the product in context to use, right? So this is the essentially converting a somebody looking into a store window, to actually come and walk into the store and find out more about product, when this is prompting the the user to actually brow to delve a little bit deeper into into the foreign This is the first, first thing that the the browser needs, the user needs to be able to go there, convert from a browser into somebody who has a little bit more intent. So this is just a good dual right off the bat, where your shiroim image is actually done and converting the person into or giving the user a little bit more context, just to Yeah,

Scott Reid 12:01
how it’s going to fit into their life, and how they’re going to use it to their

Siddharth Sinha 12:04
lives. Exactly. Excellent. Just an example of what we consider a good hero image. It gives you the packaging on how the product is delivered. It shows you a little bit about the features of the product gives you validation. See the approved branch. It gives you validation of the product. Those gives you relative size and scale of the product itself. So this is a good image that conveys all the most, most important information right of the batch, right on the window. This is, this is a good segue for the user to actually do the into the hero image and go into the product detail page. Okay, so once you actually go into the product detail page, and this is an Amazon listing for costume jewelry band. So as a basic listing is actually not bad. It sort of gives you multiple angles of the product. It sort of gives you the scale of the product. Has short video as well. You know, there’s very little about the brand and virtual emotional connection that the brand is actually making with the buyer. So even if the if the person has landed on on this product detail page, their likelihood of converting is actually very small, but there isn’t any with the images and the text or the very little description of the product. Nothing about the brand. So it doesn’t really, doesn’t really form an emotional connect. You compare that to this, to this listing here, again, the product images are great, but it gives you, gives you a little bit more context about what the or the brand is through the imagery. It also has some mortal imagery so that the person can relate to the browser, can relate to the to the product. It also utilizes some of the features that that Amazon has a lot of the brand in a lot of the other marketplaces are now building out, which is giving the brand a little bit more space to do a little bit of storytelling, so that there is more of any more connect with the browser that the buyer has with the brand itself. There’s much more likely to have to convert browsers into buyers. Yeah, it’s

Scott Reid 14:23
like night and day. Now, does your technology, in terms of the images, clearly, that is creating that, but this, this copy, this, this the text and the other and the layout, does your technology also produce that as well. Yes, wow. So

Siddharth Sinha 14:41
basically, the text description we can we can give. So what we’re the way that the platform has designed is it connects to your to the brand’s website, to the brand’s social media channels. It’s out features of the brands, and can and give you a copy for products and for. And brand level as well.

Scott Reid 15:01
That’s amazing. That’s just absolutely amazing. You can see how you’re, you’re, you’re saving in terms of time and money is just being, uh, because this would take so much time for somebody to to create, generate,

Siddharth Sinha 15:17
um, something like the image that you see on the right. You’re this is going to this can be aI generated in a matter of minutes. If you had to do this photograph, and you do this as photography, you would need all the props in place, have the product ship out from a warehouse to a studio to be able to get the photography done. All of that goes away. So this image can be generated. If you had a white background image also, really, you could generate this through that we are in a matter of minutes,

Scott Reid 15:44
and all the back and forth that goes along with that as well. You know, like, because that process, that’s where you get that eight weeks. It’s the it’s the shrimping, it’s the communication, it’s the hey, this doesn’t look good. Can you adjust this? And you were talking about as well. I don’t know if I’m getting ahead of myself here, but you have a part of your solution is that you perform a QA to make sure that the that the images and the copy and what you’re delivering to your client is is of the highest quality. So they just don’t even have to worry about

Siddharth Sinha 16:18
that. So we have a platform plus service approach. So basically, we have all the tech in place to be able to generate all the content, generate relevant content to the brand, customized to the brand, but we have that human layer at the end of it to make sure that what we’re delivering is not to spare. If there are any changes or refinement that needs to happen, we’re always there to help me sort of create that. That’s amazing.

Scott Reid 16:41
So we also talked about, or you just mentioned Amazon, and you gave us a quick demo with Amazon. But what other what other platforms do you do? Do you work with?

Siddharth Sinha 16:53
So we have, we can generate content for any platform, customized to any website layout. The content itself can be it can be generated to match any format. We have direct API integrations with Walmart, with Amazon, as well as with Shopify, but that’s just as a as a convenience to deliver the content directly onto the seller panel or to your URL onto your product information management system. But however you could, you could have a WooCommerce, or a VIX, even a vix website, and could use figure out the content that we generate.

Scott Reid 17:30
Now, how long does it take for somebody to get up to speed with with your with your solution?

Siddharth Sinha 17:38
It’s a matter of minutes. You can refer you can download the mobile app. Most of the base level features are actually free. So you can do background removals, change background colors, get solid imagery, or even AI generated backgrounds for free on the app, something that’s just you can try out the solution once you once you’re happy, or want to try the next level solutions, where you want to link doing any model imagery you want to do, infographics, a plus content. Those are those higher level content is what we charge for. You can get started. You can get started for free, and you can download one to the App Store or the Play store and get the app and get started, or log on to jasmine.com and start off the web solution.

Scott Reid 18:25
And what is the what does the trial look like? I know at the website you have a try a free listing button that you seek, that you can click on. How does your trial work? So that’s actually very interesting product we

Siddharth Sinha 18:38
just launched a month and a half ago, which essentially you can if you can, if you have a product image available of your product, you can image, upload one image, and we generate a full Amazon listing from that one image, including titles, descriptions, lifestyle imagery. All of that data is available, and you can download for free, excellent. Yeah, and,

Scott Reid 18:56
and in terms of, in terms of pricing, how does your How does your pricing work? I noticed that you do, if I’m not mistaken, you work off of a point system. Is that our credit system? It’s a credit

Siddharth Sinha 19:07
based system so, so as I mentioned, the base with types of content, you know, white background imagery, all of that is free. It’s available to you right off the bat, and it’s instantaneous if you require any professional level retouch. So, for example, if you have clothes that do any wrinkle removal or dusty dusting, or you need smudges removed from from handles, so those are professionally retouched images that we charge to the I mean, with no with minimum volume, it’s about $2 if you if you have for larger skugos, you can go down to 30 years of dollar or higher engagement content, like a plus listings, you can go up to $20 for these content, but that’s still much cheaper than you know we are hiring a marketing agency to do was it’s Barbara. 20th of the costs to profitability Plus system.

Scott Reid 20:03
This is just amazing. What you’ve created absolutely blows me away, because it’s it’s hard in today’s world to see this significant of a of a savings in terms of time and money, and those are the scarcest resources that any e commerce spread, or pretty much any company has, or time and money, and you are just empowering companies to take back their time and to retain more of their money, which is just leads to growth.

Siddharth Sinha 20:30
And fortunately, we were able to do that while maintaining a level of quality that that you would see from a hotel studio or a marketing agency. So that’s right. I mean, we do not want to compromise there, because, I mean, at the end of the day, you need to be able to convert right browsers into into buyers, and you can’t do that with low quality content.

Scott Reid 20:51
No, no, absolutely not. Now, what is the, what’s the best way for somebody to actually, before we get into that, in terms of support. Could you talk about your support platform and how? Because I know, just from my perspective, that can be the Achilles heel of companies you know this have this great technology, but they’re but their onboarding isn’t any good, or it’s, it’s, it has little to be desired. Their support system is, is, is lacking. And then that causes, even though it’s a great concept, it causes people to say, you know, I just can’t deal with this. Could you talk about your support platform and how you help people get up onto the platform and

Siddharth Sinha 21:35
moving? Sure. So let me start with, with basically the support that’s available right off the bat, on the app, on the on the mobile app, as well as web app. So there is a 24 or 24 by seven chat available that you can chat with our as well. With our support team. We are available on email as well. So we do offer email support and chat support for free on the platform. If you are a paid customer, so you bought credits from us, we do a onboarding session with with the seller as well, showing them through, taking them through how they can create content, how could they match they can send content for us to create all of that. We go, we go through that on an onboarding session, and then we have a success account, Success Manager available, and back to every being customer. Well, something that has available throughout the life cycle of the customer. And I didn’t, I

Scott Reid 22:30
was operating without a net on that one, because I wasn’t sure how your support was, but that sounds like pretty darn good support.

Siddharth Sinha 22:36
Yeah, so doing well for us. I mean, we say we I mean, one of the things that we know that, you know, our customers, sellers, are not content experts. They’re not, you know, they’re not photographers, they’re not graphic designers. We want to take over that manual so we offer a level of support that they would see from a marketing agency. So essentially, that’s, that’s the level of support we use. It sounds like it

Scott Reid 23:00
sounds like it might be a lot better than a lot of marketing agencies like to be honest with you, okay, let’s be on I can say it, but, but that’s That really sounds wonderful. And 24/7 too. And so. So from a global perspective, anybody across the globe and

Siddharth Sinha 23:18
continue, we have, for example, a lot of our furniture customers have operations in multiple locations. So they may have manufacturing facilities in Malaysia, selling into the US. So we are dealing with customers that are maybe doing photography on our app in Malaysia, where the you know, the plus content is being done in our office, in the US. You need to be able to support all of that so

Scott Reid 23:43
well. This is, this is amazing. You blew me away with this, with what you’ve created here, and you’ve done it within four years too. That’s even more impressive.

Siddharth Sinha 23:53
It’s a long journey. It’s not that complete, but making progress.

Scott Reid 24:00
It’s really, it’s really, really quite impressive. Is there anything else that, is there anything that I didn’t ask you, that you’d like to highlight or discuss or

Siddharth Sinha 24:09
I mean, I encourage everybody to go on to the to the website, download the app, try it out. It’s simple to have to get started. And support is always there if you need anything more complex, created

Scott Reid 24:24
Excellent well. Thank you very much for for being a guest today on the podcast. Again, it’s dressma.com D, R, E, S, M, a, we’re gonna have a link in the show notes, and I really appreciate your time. I learned a ton, and I think, I don’t think I know that this is going to be a big hit on the E commerce optimizers podcast, so thanks again, and we’ll talk to you

Siddharth Sinha 24:45
soon. Great talking to you.
